In the modern high-end audio world—where the boundary between digital technology and musical emotion is becoming increasingly refined—MMS-1 is developed to establish a distinctive identity, a Tube DAC & Streamer developed around a philosophy that merges pure analog audio engineering with a modern high-performance streaming platform. Far beyond being a conventional music streamer or DAC, the MMS-1 represents a true audiophile-engineering approach, where every technical architecture and circuit topology is designed with one ultimate objective: reproducing music with exceptional naturalness, musicality, and emotional realism.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the MMS-1 is its 24-bit discrete R-2R DAC architecture combined with an EL84 Single-Ended Transformer-Coupled tube output stage. This engineering direction is exceptionally Mavis R&D team’s unique engineering approach and the be rare in today’s streamer market, which is overwhelmingly dominated by delta-sigma DAC chip solutions. By employing a discrete R-2R topology, the MMS-1 achieves superior signal linearity, highly refined microdynamic transitions, and a harmonically rich sonic character with a more organic and analog-like presentation.

MMS1 does not limit engineering focus to the digital decoding stage alone. Instead, substantial engineering development is dedicated to the analog output section—the very element that defines the sonic soul of the component. The MMS-1 utilizes a pair of EL84 (6BQ5) vacuum tubes operating in a Single-Ended topology with transformer-coupled output architecture, enabling exceptional signal purity, natural dynamic expression, and richly textured tonal density. This design philosophy reflects classic high-end audio engineering principles, allowing the system to deliver expansive soundstaging, emotionally engaging midrange reproduction, and excellent transient speed while maintaining outstanding control and coherence across the frequency spectrum.

Another highly significant technical achievement of the MMS-1 lies in its true balanced XLR output architecture. Unlike many pseudo-balanced implementations commonly found in the market, the MMS-1 is engineered to optimize fully balanced signal transmission with an ultra-low noise floor, substantially enhancing dynamic range, background silence, and three-dimensional spatial imaging capabilities.

In addition, the independent linear power supply system is dedicated separately to both the analog and digital stages. By isolating the linear power architecture for each processing section, the MMS-1 minimizes switching noise and digital interference—two of the primary factors that compromise naturalness in modern streaming devices. As a result, the MMS-1 is capable of reproducing an exceptionally dark background, impressive dynamic contrast, and a deeply layered soundstage with remarkable spatial realism.

On the streaming side, the MMS-1 supports TIDAL, Spotify, Qobuz, etc. and direct playback from USB, HDD, and SSD storage devices. However, the true value of the MMS-1 does not merely reside in its feature set, but rather in the way this device has meticulously optimized the entire digital signal path to achieve genuinely audiophile-grade sonic performance.

Beyond its technical specifications, the MMS-1 has demonstrated its real-world performance capabilities through numerous showcase systems at major international audio exhibitions throughout 2025, including AVShow Saigon, AVShow Hanoi, and AVShow Warsaw in Poland. Serving as the primary source component in multiple large-scale high-end systems, the MMS-1 played a critical role in delivering highly emotional, dynamic, and spatially immersive musical presentations.

The MMS-1 is far more than an integrated DAC or streamer. It is a statement product that embodies the essence of true high-end audio engineering—where advanced digital technologies and traditional analog philosophies are harmoniously integrated to pursue the ultimate goal of musical reproduction: realism, emotional engagement, and natural sonic authenticity at a true reference level.
